The Death of Medium?

I read multiple articles expounding on the situation with Medium. The indecipherable algorithm, the reduction in earnings that people have noticed, and the overall atmosphere around Medium. 

Personal, I never achieved much money from writing on Medium. I resisted the Friend of Medium campaign, but I finygave in. People smarter than myself have theorized that the money from those subscriptions went into Medium’s bank account to balance their books. 

I certainly never found any benefit from the Friends of Medium level, so I’m not renewing my subscription at that level next year. Until then I will do the best I can to write the best stories I can, and let the chips fall where they may. 

If I’m not the only person noticing theee things, I wonder if Medium has much of a future at all. Like I said, I got suckered into the Friends of Medium and I have to ride it out. I can’t believe that I’m the only person in this situation. One wonders what new scheme Medium will unveil in the future to remain profitable. I just don’t have the faith that things will improve.
