Rationing My Medication

Why is it that in the most powerful country in the world, I have to ration my essential medications? At the same time, I am waiting for the paperwork snafu to be corrected so my Medicaid and insurance coverage resume. I don’t particularly appreciate talking about politics or controversial issues, but this problem hits close to home. I hope things are back to normal by the end of this month.

I take long-acting insulin, and each refill costs approximately $1220.00, which is blatant robbery. If I didn’t have Medicaid, I would be dead. The price is obscene no matter how one looks at it, but this country would instead follow people who want to spy on everyone’s bedrooms and bathrooms instead of doing something about controlling health care costs. I’m tired of Nazis and Nazi deniers running this country. Something needs to change.

I’m lucky because my situation should be resolved by the first of next month. Others don’t have a way out of the financial trap, and I pity them. There must be a better way than this.
