Embracing The Now
There is so much to experience in life. We always rush to do something to get somewhere for some important reason. I am guilty like everyone else; I wanted so much of my life and health, running like a chicken with its head cut off, that I forgot the importance of the here and now. Kindness teaches us to be calm even in the face of adversity. Each moment is precious, and we should not waste them. The crises that govern our lives will still be there. The illusion is that immediate action without thought will help matters, which is seldom the case. Even the military, at least the Navy, teaches that act requires situational awareness and a plan to address the problem. Immediate action is frowned upon unless it is part of an existing plan.
In our daily lives, the situation is no different. Whatever obstacle we face, there is always time to think the problem through, and this is a key to living in the now. Meditation teaches to live in the moment.
