I am setting up my new drone. I finally got around to unboxing a drone I purchased a few months ago. I regret not starting sooner, but life happened, and I just remembered about it recently. If I had flown drones, I'd have been more prone to remember, but better late than never. I have always wanted to get the sensation of flight, and now I'm thrilled to finally get started.

Learning to fly a drone is not just about fun; it's also about responsibility. With my significant investment in my drone, I'm taking a cautious approach to learning. I've studied numerous detailed videos on droning to learn as much as possible before taking to the skies. My goal is to operate the drone to avoid any mistakes that could lead to a crash or damage.

With the drone in hand, the next step is to charge the batteries. As they power up, I can't help but feel the excitement of the next steps in this process. The controller unit is also charging, getting ready for the adventures that lie ahead.

The drone came already assembled, so I didn't have to install propellers, although several spares were included with the package I bought. However, it is a wise investment to learn how to install propellers when needed.

The remote control unit connection process was the next step in the preparation. I followed the instructions, connected the controller to my Wi-Fi network, and registered the drone and the flight application. This process took longer than I planned, so it was good that I was trying to take my time with things. Haste makes waste.

Immediately after getting the connection between the remote control unit and the internet, there was a step to update the software. This was another time-consuming process that made me glad I set aside a day for the preparatory work. Because the drone was several months old, there was quite a bot of software updates to install.

Setting up the app on my iPhone and the remote control unit was relatively easy using the online account I had already set up with the manufacturer. It was at this poiont that i stopped for the day. I didn't want to get too tired from the work because I tend to make mistakes when I lose concentration. I had accomplished quite a bit for one afternoon.

Since I had an eye exam in the morning on the next day, I decided to avoid any unnecessary strain and made Friday a day off from the process. When I resume on Saturday, I will try to get outside and make a short test flight to get used to the unit's controls. Hopefully, I will have a short flying video that I will be proud of.

Be Kind to one another. 🚁
