So, Hal and I went to Kroger the other day to grab some groceries and prescriptions from the pharmacy. You know, because there was this rumor of another winter storm coming our way. And guess what? The parking lot was packed! We pulled up, and thankfully, there was a handicap spot that I could park in since I have a handicap plate. But hold your horses! As we were about to settle in, there was this huge black pickup truck parked right in front of us in another handicapped spot. There was one of those hanging handicap signs, but no license plate. And get this - there was this guy wearing one of those dreadful MAGAt red hats, loading his groceries into that truck. He wasn’t even wearing a mask, and he was puffing on a cigarette! I told Hal, ‘I’m gonna wait and see if this MAGAt guy leaves his shopping cart next to my car.’ And sure enough, he pushed his cart right into the open space where it could roll into mine and started walking around to get into his truck. At that point, I got out of my car and politely called out to him, ‘Sir,’ but he didn’t even hear me! I had to raise my voice a bit, and then I shouted, ‘Hey you!’ And that finally got his attention. He was almost behind his truck when he stopped and looked back. ‘You left your cart next to my car,’ I said, ‘and you need to take it to the nearest cart corral, which is only about 30 feet away.’ He turned around and saw me with my hiking poles for balance, and then he hurriedly apologized and said he never saw the cart corral. I ignored the fact that he had looked right at it as he went around the back of his truck. I stood there until he got his cart. He asked if I wanted it, and even though I needed a cart, I told him, ‘No,’ because I secretly wanted him to take his cart back properly since he had been so inconsiderate in the first place. Well, guess what? My little social experiment turned out exactly as I expected. The guy’s identity matched my low expectations. He was only thinking about himself and didn’t care about anyone else. He’s just like those self-centered MAGAts who are ruining our country because of their blind devotion to their leader, Baron Von Shitzinpants. Years of these people being rude convinced me that there’s no way we can compromise with them because they only care about taking advantage of others. I don’t see any hope for our country if these people are in charge. They’re like they want to set up a Fourth Reich in the USA!
