The sun is finally back!! It seemed like the dreary weather was never-ending, but I was surprised by the bright sky this morning. I had a terrible night of sleep, so our only trip was to the grocery store. 

I am edging closer to another attempt at blogging. My biggest fear is the camera itself. I look hideous, and that’s using an extraordinary amount of kindness. I’ve never considered myself handsome, and my drooping eyelids make it look like I’m asleep when I’m wide awake. I’ll start with audio and see how that goes. I’m compiling a story about my camera fear and attempting to create a YouTube channel. 

We haven’t heard from our friend in the hospital, but I think it’s best not to bother him at this time. He has family and friends there, so if anything happens, we’ll find out soon enough. We hope the silence indicates he is resting and recovering after his surgery. 

Lest I forget, tomorrow is Valentine’s Day. I am taking Hal in for an excellent relaxing session at the spa. I’ll be there too, so it will be a couples thing. After that, we’ll have a nice lunch at one of our local restaurants. This will be our 24th Valentine’s celebration together. 

I tried out the new hiking poles today, and even just a trip to Kroger made me feel so much better than walking through the store with my cane. The hiking poles take some adjusting, and I can’t push the shopping cart, so Hal had to. I felt the extra motion in my arms and chest, improving my balance. 

As evening rolled in, I debated whether or not I wanted to watch the Ole Miss vs. UK game. I eventually decided to watch and shake my head. I don’t see a cohesive effort from the coach. Cal just throws players in and hopes for the best. Championships are not won that way. UK did win, but it was one of the most uninspiring games I can remember. 

I hope I get a good night's sleep.
